Terms of use

The rules of the game, quite literally: what the service does, what you can expect from it, and what we ask of you in return.

Purpose

These terms govern the use of ops-flow-conseil.com and of the application areas it hosts. Browsing the site, opening a facilitation session or joining a game means accepting these terms.

The service

It consists of three distinct parts:

  • a public website, presenting the S&OP Game and publishing articles on supply chain management;
  • a facilitation area, reserved for client organisations, from which a supply chain is configured, a session created and its progress followed;
  • a game area, where the participants of a session make their decisions round after round.

Accounts and credentials

Three populations access the service, with three means of identification: the platform administrator, the user attached to a client organisation, and the player invited to a session.

Credentials are personal. Their holder is answerable for the actions carried out with them and undertakes to notify us without delay of any use they did not authorise. A player's credentials give access to one specific session, and to that session only.

Rules of use

In using the service, you undertake not to:

  • access or attempt to access a session, an account or data not intended for you;
  • extract the site's content by automated means, or reproduce any part of it outside its intended use;
  • disrupt the operation of the service, in particular through repeated submissions intended to overload it;
  • circumvent the technical measures protecting the service or its content.

The name shown in game is free text, entered by each participant. We recommend that facilitators suggest a first name or a nickname: the game works just as well, and nothing identifying needs to be recorded.

Life of a session

A session advances in periods, and each player progresses at their own pace within the synchronisation the game provides. Two automatic rules apply, and they are better known beforehand than afterwards:

  • a session left entirely inactive for 30 days is closed automatically, and its players are signed out;
  • the technical log of a closed session is deleted 30 days after that closure.

The debriefing report remains available for as long as the session exists. We recommend making use of it while the session is fresh: that is when it is most valuable anyway.

Intellectual property

The S&OP Game, its simulation engine, its interfaces, its training material and the articles published on this site are protected and remain the property of OPS FLOW CONSEIL. Access to the service grants a personal right of use, limited to the duration of the engagement; it entails no assignment of rights.

The data produced by a client organisation during its sessions belongs to that organisation. We do not use it for any purpose other than providing the service.

Availability and maintenance

We do our utmost to keep the service accessible, without committing to an uptime figure. An automated maintenance task runs every night; occasional interruptions may occur, for an update or on account of our hosting providers.

Liability

The S&OP Game is a training tool: it simulates a supply chain for educational purposes and in no way constitutes management advice applicable as such to a real business. Decisions taken on the strength of its lessons are the responsibility of those who take them.

We cannot be held liable for unavailability attributable to the network, to a hosting provider or to force majeure, nor for the consequences of any use of the service contrary to these terms.

Suspension

In the event of a serious breach of these terms, we may suspend the access concerned. Except where the security of the service makes it urgent, the client organisation is informed beforehand.

Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy. The publisher's identity appears in the legal notice.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change along with the service. The version in force is the one published on this page, whose update date appears below. Any substantial change is brought to the attention of client organisations.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, disputes fall to the competent courts.

This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
